Shenmue III is the long-awaited sequel to the forefather of the open world genre. Overarching mystery continues from Shenmue I & II, where we had learnt that Ryo’s father was killed, and Ryo is trying to investigate the murder following a character known as Lan Di, who is rumored to be the killer. The plot thickens with the introduction of the two mysterious items, The Dragon, and The Phoenix Mirrors. The story introduces Shenhua, a side protagonist that will accompany Ryo on his endeavor for truth. Hoping her father can share some clues that will ultimately assist in their progress, they set off to meet him. However her father is missing! Their epic adventure just took another unexpected turn.
